No matter if she’s had a reputation for being a difficult actress, I think Shannen Doherty’s presence will be a big factor to the success of the 90210 remake.
E! Online reports:
A very reliable and very inside source who works on 90210 tells me exclusively that, “It is happening with Shannen. It’s just a question of how long she’ll shoot, whether it will be one day or ten, and what the storyline will be, but we are working on it and it is a very real thing.”
Inside sources also confirm exclusively that Tori will not be able to appear in the season premiere for personal reasons. The new mom (she gave birth to a baby girl June 9) had been signed on to do “a few” episodes at the beginning of the season, but now that won’t be happening.
A Brenda and Kelly reunion! Who is excited?

With two of the former stars of 90210 coming on board the remake, Luke Perry, apparently isn’t too keen on joining them.
“I can’t re-imagine it currently. It’s just not something that I’ve thought about to be quite honest," Perry says while speaking to the press on the possible reprising of his popular character, Dylan McKay.
He, however, wishes good luck to Tori Spelling and Jennie Garth who will both be appearing on the updated teen drama.

I’m one of those people wondering when David Hyde Pierce would return to television. After Frasier went off the air four or five years ago, this four time Emmy winner has had more success on Broadway. And he says he wants to do more of that instead of television.
Aww…
While David Hyde Pierce was singing and dancing on Broadway, producers were trying to woo him back to prime-time. "People have approached me about going back to TV," he said. "Basically, I said to them, ‘I’m happy to look at scripts, but I don’t want to go back to television.’"
At age 49, Pierce wants to do more theater.
"Curtains," the musical whodunit he starred in and won a Tony Award for, ended a 16-month run yesterday. In the spring, he returns to Broadway in a revival of the 1934 comedy "Accent on Youth."
"In between, I’ll take some time off," he said. "I haven’t had a break since ‘Frasier.’"
For fans of the sitcom, Pierce will always be Niles Crane. During the show’s 11-year run, he won four Emmy Awards playing the fussy Seattle shrink.
But it’s not a role he wants to revisit.
"I don’t think a reunion show is a good idea," Pierce said. "People understandably have a desire for more of these characters, but the reality won’t meet the dream."

The Office season four ended without any confirmation if fans of the show will see Amy Ryan reprising her role as Holly Flax, the new face of human resources.
Variety just confirmed today that, yes, Amy Ryan will be back and she will be on the show for at least five episodes.
The Office’s executive producer, Paul Leiberstein said, “Amy gave the character of Holly an openness and matured innocence that exposed a new side of Michael. She placed her character right on his level.”
Paul Leiberstein also plays Toby on the show, the former human resource personnel Holly replaced.

She came to the party a little too late didn’t she?
Nicole Richie is reportedly going to guest star on Chuck this coming season. She will play Sarah’s former classmate from high school. Nichole’s character was the high school Mean Girl.
First, there was Britney Spears on How I Met Your Mother…twice, in fact. Then Paris Hilton was on My Name is Earl. And then Lindsay Lohan was on Ugly Betty (albeit, less than 10 seconds). I personally don’t like the idea of these party girls invading my TV space. They’re better off seen and read about in tabloid rags where they belong.
But to Nicole’s credit, she at least auditioned for her role unlike the other girls who scored the TV spot, thanks to their publicists and agents.
And from the sound of it, Chuck’s Josh Schwatz has only nice words for the new mother. “This role is a great opportunity for her to show off her comedic skills and be diabolically evil and kick some butt. It’s going to be really fun.”
